Sitges y... amistad :))

Pues aquí estamos, de vuelta de Sitges... y feliz.

So here we are, back from Sitges and... happy.

Pero también algo abatida por que tenía que haber hecho este post el domingo o ayer pero lamentablemente no pudo ser por un tema personal (una amiga a la que ingresaron ayer noche en el hospital, está ya mejor pero sigue alli, y de allí vengo ahora mismo), y eso va a hacer que también el post sea más breve, pero espero que no desmerezca lo muy agradecida que estoy a la gente que conoci en Sitges... especialmente a Angela que en su increible generosidad me invitó a pasar el fin de semana en su casa y a Mar, que me recogió en el aeropuerto el viernes y me hizo pasar un primer dia de exposiciones y feria fantástico, y tambien a todas las otras blogueras que conocí en la feria, sois todas geniales, y recordaré este fin de semana durante muuuuucho tiempo. Es curioso lo mucho que puede unirte esta maravillosa afición a la gente :))

But also a bit sad because I was supposed to make this post sunday or yesterday but unfortunately this could not be because of a personal issue (a friend who was admitted to hospital yesterday night, she is much better but still there, and from there is that I came now), and this will also make this post shorter, but I do hope it will still show how thankful I am to the people I met in Sitges... specially to Angela, that in her incredible generosity invited me to spend the weekend at her place, and to Mar that picked me up at the airport and made me spend a great first day at the exhibitions and trade fair, and also to all the other bloggers that I met at the trade fair, you are all greatm and I will remember this weekend for a loooooong time. It is amazing how much you can connect with some people by means of this wonderful hobby :))

Conocimos a Eva Berrade, que ganó el segundo premio de Aplicación con un quilt precioso. En la foto: Pili, Eva, Anna, yo misma y Angela.

Y conocí a Pepi, y a Trelly!!!!! Muy fuerte, tanto tiempo visitando su blog sin conocernos en persona siendo ambas gallegas, y no sólo nos fuimos a conocer en Sitges a 1000 km de casa, sino que encima, resulta que somos ambas del mismo barrio de Vigo, apenas a dos calles una de la otra... jajaja... Con ellas estaban Silk y Belén, pero no tengo foto de ellas.

And I met Pepi, and Trelly!!!!! Amazing, so long visiting her blog without meeting in person being both Galician, and not only we ended up meeting in Sitges, 1000 km far from home, but also, it happens that we are originary from the same area in Vigo, living when young within two streets distance.... hahaha... Silk and Belén were also with them, but I have no picture of them.

También me encontré a la Bruja Pepa con su pelo azul y su bolso rosa, que me hizo un regalito para mi otro para Adelaida que no pudo venir... (los pondré en otro post), y con Angelines Artero, y con Marga... y me quedé sin conocer a gente con la que no coincidí, como Vero, Maria Eugenia, Nuria, Tere, Lupe, Paula, Neus y Tere... y tantas otras... Pero otra vez será.

De camino a Sitges...

En 10 minutos será mañana, y cogeré un avión tempranito a Barcelona para ir a la feria de patchwork de Sitges... ¡Que emoción! ¡Y aún no he terminado de hacer la maleta!!!... asi que ni sé que bolso voy a llevar ni que ropa... pero os dejo la foto del broche de la kedada de Anna Manu-Patch de la que ya os hablé en un post anterior... es muy sencillito porque lo hice aprisa y corriendo pero a mi me gusta... Asi como Corapensa es la brujilla del pelo azul yo voy a ser la meiga del pelo rosa :)) (en la realidad no está tan rosa.... jeje, es mas bien violaceo-caoba oscuro)

Encuentro con Isa...

Ayer por la tarde conocí a Isa del blog El blog de Isa, que aprovechando que se venía de compras a Santiago con una amiga, quedó conmigo para intercambiar en persona nuestro bloquecito del intercambio 15x15. Es un encanto, y las tres pasamos un ratito superagradable tomando un café y planeando kedadas entre las blogueras gallegas ;)

Yesterday afternoon I met Isa from El blog de Isa, that since she was coming along with a friend to Santiago for shopping, we met to exchange in person our 15x15 blocks. She is a sweetie, and the three of us spent a nice time having a coffee and planning meetings among the galician bloggers ;)

Mirad que bloque tan bonito me dio... y qué os voy a decir del broche (ya los había visto en su blog aquí y me habian parecido una monada), y además es rosa!!!! Luego me trajo también unos botones artesanales de los que venden en Quiltart, donde va ella a clases de pacthwork que son una monada. ¡Gracias Isa!

Look what a beautiful block she gave me... and what to say of the brooch (I had already seen them in her blog here and I liked them a lot back then), and it is pink!!! Then she brought me also some pretty buttons of those you can buy in Quiltart, where she goes to her patchwork lessons. Thanks Isa!


Y aquí os pongo unas fotos de los bloquecitos que yo he terminado por ahora... espero que os gusten porque la verdad lo de bordar es totalmente nuevo para mi. Isa se llevó el azulito de la derecha, asi que el verde del gatito aún está libre para intercambiar... los siguientes aun no sé como los haré porque me lleva más tiempo bordarlos que hacer el aplicado.

And here you can see some pictures of the blocks I have finished for now... I hope you like them because to tell the truth embroidery is something new for me. Isa took the blue one on the right so the green one with the little cat in still free for exchanging in Sitges... the next ones I am not yer sure how I will make them, it will depend of the time I have because it takes more time to embroider them than to do the appliqué.

Punto de encuentro en Sitges

Ya va quedando menos para Sitges... que ganas tengo ya de ir... mientras tanto sigo liada con los bloques del 15x15. Para las que vais y participais de los intercambios y/o encuentros:

En el blog de Nuria Madurell podemos encontrar el lugar y la hora donde podremos conocernos e intercambiar los bloques del Intercambio 15x15

Y en el blog de Anna-Manu Patch, podemos ver las horas y lugares de la kedada que ella organiza para el sábado (las que quieran además con su "brochecito" puesto). EDITADO: Las que lleven el broche, es para participar en el intercambio propuesto en el post de Marga para la misma kedada... las que no, por supuesto que pueden acudir también, pero sin broche :) Gracias Angela, por la puntualización ;)

February Glows...

Segunda entrega del SAL de Bent Creek... February Glows... Me faltan los botones que lleva el corazón, que se los pondré al final. Sigo llegando fuera de plazo pero cada vez estoy más cerca de terminarlo a tiempo, a ver si para el mes de marzo... :)

Second objective of the Bent Creek SAL... February Glows... I still have to put the buttons in the heart, but I will do that at the end. I am still finishing it over deadline, but each time closer to making it in time, let´s see what happens in march... ;)
