¡Mi primer SAL!

Estoy que no paro con el trabajo y otras historias pero no he podido evitar apuntarme a mi primer SAL!!! Organizado por Isabel en su blog TILDAPATCH, se trata de una monada de bolso country y sera todo un reto hacerlo.

I am really busy with my job and other stuff but I just could not help it and I have enlisted my first SAL!!! Organised by Isabel in her blog TILDAPATCH, it is a beautiful country bag and it will be a challenge to do it.

Mientras tanto sigo preparando los intercambios que tengo pendientes (el de Najma y el de Emilia), y hoy he terminado mi primer bloque del Dear Jane!!! Le sacaré mañana por la tarde una foto con luz diurna y lo subiré al blog de Mi Baby Jane.

In the mean time I am preparing the swaps I have pending (Najma's and Emilia's), and today I have finished my first Dear Jane block!!! I will take a picture of it tomorrow afternoon at daylight and will upload it to My Baby Jane blog.

Desafio

Recojo en esta entrada un desafío que me envía mi amiga Elimary desde su blog. ¡Ahí vamos!

1. Coge el libro que tengas más a mano y escribe la cuarta línea de la página 18: "... sounded more like fright than excitement! In fact, if it had not..." (de "The Hobbit", de J.R.R. Tolkien en su version original en inglés)
2. Cuenta lo último que viste en la tele: Hace unos minutos, el ultimo capítulo de Moonlight.
3. Qué se escucha en este momento aparte del ruido del ordenador?: El riego automático del césped y la tele de fondo.
4. Algo que los bloggeros no sepan de mi: que trabajo de médico de familia (nunca he escrito ningún post de medicina)
5. Qué proyectos tienes ahora entre manos?: Empezar mi Dear Jane, finalizar el regalito para los intercambios a los que me apunté, acabar de escribir el capítulo de un libro de Patología infecciosa en Atencion Primaria, enviar un artículo a una revista médica, y tantos otros... no me llegan las 24horas del día y tengo que quitarselas al sueño!!!
   6. Qué material te gustaría probar?: El fieltro, algún dia me animaré... y tambien me apetece aprender a bordar (solo sé hacer punto de cruz).

I write here the challenge that my friend Elimary has left for me in her blog. There we go!

2. Tell the last thing you have watched on TV: Just a few minutes ago, last episode of Moonlight.
3. What can you hear now besides the noise of the computer?: The sound of the authomatic spray irrigation of my garden and the TV.
4. Something that bloggers do not know about me: that I work as a family physician (never wrote any medical post)
5. Which are your ongoing projects?: To start my Dear Jane, to finish the present for the exchanges I have enlisted on, finish writing a chapter of a Infectious Diseases in Primary Health Care book, send an article to a medical magazine, and so many other... I have not enough with the 24 hours of the day and I need to take some of them from my sleep!!!
6. Which stuff would you like to try?: Felt, some day... and also I would like to learn stitching properly (I only do X-Stitch).

Nuevo estilo...

Como veis le estoy dando un nuevo estilo al blog... gracias a los maravillosos tutoriales de Eulalia he conseguido añadir una tercera columna al blog y de paso he hecho algunos cambios mas... y mas que vendran en breve!!

La costura la tengo algo olvidada por temas personales y laborales pero en unos días subiré cositas que he ido terminando, y espero tambien empezar la semana que viene, ¡por fin! con el primer bloque del Dear Jane (me llegan, espero las telas de fondo esta semana).

As you can see I am giving my blog a new style... thanks to the wonderful tutorials by Eulalia I have managed to add a third column to the blog and also made some changes... and more will follow soon!!

I have put aside sewing a bit because of personal and laboral stuff but in some days I will be uploading things I have been finishing, and I hope to start also next weel, finally! my first Dear Jane block (I am receiving, I hope, the background fabrics this coming week).

Butterfly Garden

A lo mejor estoy un poco loca, si... pero no lo he podido evitar. Me he estado resistiendo todo el mes de agosto pero al final he caido, si... Y me he apuntado a un BOM que me tenia fascinada. Buscando por diferente tiendas online he encontrado al fin una que tiene este quilt de ensueño en forma de Block of the Month (empezará el febrero de 2009) y me he anotado esta mañana! (todas las demas webs en las que lo encontre lo tenían ya lleno o solo vendían los patrones, pero me encantan las telas del original y así serán lo más similares posible). Lo he encontrado en la web de una tienda que se llama Stitch in Heaven y está diseñado por una diseñadora australiana llamada Leanne Beasley que hace unas cosas preciosas.

Maybe I am a bit crazy, yes... but I could not help it. I have been trying to resist all august but at the end I could not stop myself, no... And I have enlisted for a BOM that had captivated me. Searching in different online shops I hacve finally found one that has this fantastic quilt in the form of a Block of the Month program (it will start in February 2009) and I have enlisted this morning! (all other webs that had it, had the list full, or were only selling out the patterns, but I love the original fabrics and this way they will be most similar). I have found it in a web called Stitch in Heaven and it is designed by an australian designer called Leanne Beasley that makes wonderful things.
